Scouting Program
Each Association Chapter sponsors and operates a Cub Scout Pack, a Boy Scout Troop, and a high school aged Venture Crew. All are independent member units of the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
We are one of the many churches and community organizations which, as Chartering Organizations, support self sufficient scout units. We run a full scouting program including advancement training, camping and back packing.
The Georgia Appalachian Trail Club is now a significant partner in our Scouting effort. They run an extensive back packing program for boys 9-18.
Our adult leaders use scouting as a tool to teach self reliance, personal discipline and moral values, and to have fun. We run weekly meetings and organize a range of monthly trips from Cub Scout day trips to a full Boy Scout camping program. The high school Venture Crew is focused on after school jobs and preparation for an independent self supporting life.
